ABOUT US

The first known show of the Georgeham and Croyde Flower and Vegetable Society was in 1938 some 82 years ago, but because of a break during the war years, it celebrated its 70th Annual show in 2015.

The Society is more commonly referred to as either the "Croyde Garden Club" or the "Georgeham Garden Club", depending on your location.

The show is held every July and includes sections for flowers, potted plants, floral displays, fruit, vegetables, cooking skills and a photography section etc all as detailed in the show schedule.

The Society, which is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, is organised and run by a small committee of local people, who are nominated by and voted in by the societies members at the annual general meeting, which is normally held towards the end of each year.

Membership of the Society is available on a yearly basis for a small fee.

Events are organised throughout the year, and range from trips to local gardens, nurseries and places of horticultural interest to meetings in either of the local village halls, when speakers and guests are invited to give help and advice on a wide range of garden topics.
